چکیده

Temperature scanning stress relaxation (TSSR) measurement of peroxide vulcanized polymer blends polypropylene (PP) and ultrahigh molecular-EPDM (UHM-EPDM) rubber has been performed to study the thermomechanical behavior thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPVs). Co-agents play crucial roles in enhancement properties TPVs. Different types co-agents (Triallyl cyanurate-TAC; N, N-m-phenylene-dimaleimide-HVA2; zinc dimethacrylate-ZDMA; in-situ formed dimethacrylate-ZMA) have explored this work. TSSR shows that higher T50 T90 values achieved ZMA co-agent assisted-TPV. Higher TSSR-index (RI) value was also found for same ZMA, indicating elastic behavior. result supports mechanical rheological properties, it is ZDMA show strength. Cross-linked-density calculated by modified Flory–Rehner equation cross-link-density as obtained from method compared trend be same. Stress slow relaxation-phenomena ZMA-TPV with slowest relaxation-time (θr) than other TPVs, which correlates superior material Thermogravimetric analysis proves there a difference degradation temperature at approximately 5–10°C. Ultrahigh molecular weight-EPDM/PP based TPVs reveal physico-mechanical over TAC HVA2. These weight-EPDM can used automotive seals/strips, hoses, bellows, 2 K-molds applications.

Influence of Engage® copolymer type on the properties of Engage®/silicone rubber-based thermoplastic dynamic vulcanizates

Thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPVs) are a special class of thermoplastic elastomers, which are produced by simultaneously mixing and crosslinking a rubber with a thermoplastic polymer at an elevated temperature. Peroxide-cured TPVs based on blends of silicone rubber and thermoplastic Engage of two different types, mainly ethylene-octene and ethylenebutene copolymers at different blend ratios have...

Effect of Rubber Nanoparticle Agglomeration on Properties of Thermoplastic Vulcanizates during Dynamic Vulcanization

We previously reported that the dispersed rubber microparticles in ethylene-propylenediene monomer (EPDM)/polypropylene (PP) thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPVs) are actually agglomerates of rubber nanoparticles. In this study, based on this new understanding of the microstructure of TPV, we further revealed the microstructure-properties relationship of EPDM/PP TPV during dynamic vulcanization, es...

Exploring the temperature-stress metabolome of Arabidopsis.

Metabolic profiling analyses were performed to determine metabolite temporal dynamics associated with the induction of acquired thermotolerance in response to heat shock and acquired freezing tolerance in response to cold shock. Low-M(r) polar metabolite analyses were performed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Eighty-one identified metabolites and 416 unidentified mass spectral tags,...
